How often and long are tutoring sessions?
For tutoring to be effective, students should have 2 or 3 one hour tutoring sessions each week. The number of sessions a week depends on the difficulty of the course(s) and student’s knowledge of the material.
What are the hourly rates?
Milwaukee Knowledge Builders strives to charge the lowest rates while providing the highest quality of services. We offer various tutoring packages based on the education level and difficulty of the course material. The hourly rates are on a sliding scale and decrease the more hours you pre-purchase. We also provide group rates and discounts for multi-student households.
Does Milwaukee Knowledge Builders provide online tutoring?
Yes, Milwaukee Knowledge Builders does offer online tutoring for individual students as well as groups. Students receive a free online text book to use as a point of reference during sessions. All sessions are done by conference call with a whiteboard ensuring our students’ receive the highest quality of tutoring.
Do students and tutors only communicate during sessions?
Absolutely not! Milwaukee Knowledge Builders continues to work with students between sessions using a collaboration website allowing the Student and tutor to post questions and review materials. Parents and teachers have access to view all interactions between the student and tutor. Milwaukee Knowledge Builders uses this application to address current issues the student is having. We then use the tutoring sessions to enforce understanding of concepts discussed in school.
Does Milwaukee Knowledge Builders work with students only in Milwaukee Wisconsin?
No, Milwaukee Knowledge Builders will work with any student(s) nationwide that have access to the internet.
Does Milwaukee Knowledge Builders guarantee improved grades?
Milwaukee Knowledge will guarantee to support our students anyway we can and provide resources that aid in academic success. The level of academic success for a student ultimately depends on the level of commitment to achieve success. We have found that students achieve significant success when they adhere to their personal tutor plan and actively work with their tutor.
